If you take the motorway leading to Maribor, turn out at the exit for Mozirje. The road will then lead you towards the Logar Valley, which is well signposted. When the road leads to the village of Ljubno ob Savinji, pay attention to the signpost for Smrekovec, as you will have to turn right here. Continue driving through the centre of the village, and shortly afterwards turn left, again warned by the signpost for Smrekovec. Continue to the village of Ljubenske Rastke, where you turn right. Continue along the road, which becomes macadam after a few minutes. Keep following the signs for Smrekovec, so you shouldn't get lost. The macadam road will soon lead us to Dom na Smrekovcu, where we park.

From here we continue on foot. Just after the lodge, turn left onto the ascending, well-marked path. At the crossroads, turn right, towards the top of Smrekovec, which is also indicated by a sign. There is one last climb and we will reach our summit.
