From Tolmin, we drive to the village of Žabče. In the village, we continue along the main road until we reach a fork in the road, which we’ll recognize by a small stone house in the middle between the two roads. Here, take the right-hand road and follow it uphill to house number 20, where you’ll see a parking spot on the left side of the road.
Trail description:We continue on foot to the right up a short flight of stairs, where a sign for the Tolmin Gorges also points us. After the steps, we take a narrow grassy path that initially runs right alongside the fence, then passes through a gate and leads through a small grove. Beyond the grove, the path crosses a small meadow and leads into the forest. In the forest, the path remains level for a while, but soon begins to descend toward the Tolmin Gorges. In the gorges, we first cross a suspension bridge; immediately after that, we turn left onto a trail that runs right alongside the river toward the Tolminka Thermal Spring, located at the end of the trail.
