From the Ljubljana ring road, take the exit south. Follow Dolenjska Road until you reach the Jaka Inn, then turn left into Peruzzijeva Street. Then cross the railway line and turn left into the first street, where you park.

From the car park, go back to Dolenjska cesta and cross it. Continue right on the pavement and soon you will see a sign for the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship, which points you left uphill. After a few minutes of climbing, the path lays down and then continues on a slight incline. Higher up, the path approaches a forest road, and we continue along the same path. When you reach the top of the hill, descend gently. Soon we leave the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship and continue along the right-hand path, where we see one of the few markers on the path. When you reach a crossroads, continue left and after a short climb you will reach the highest peak of Golovec.
