From Novo Mesto we drive to the village of Velike Brusnice. Then follow the signs to the village of Gabrje. Then in Gabrje, turn left at the crossroads and pass the church. Follow the road to the house at Miklavž na Gorjancih, where you park.

From the car park, continue along the road heading towards Trdinov Peak. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the Blood Stone. From here, turn left in the direction of Trdinov Peak. After about 5 minutes, the sign for Trdinov vrh points you up to the left. Continue along the forest road, which climbs slowly and after about 1 hour of walking along the forest road you will reach the summit.
