From Ljubljana, follow the motorway towards Kranj. Leave the motorway at the exit for Kranj - East. At the roundabout after the exit, continue straight ahead to the T-junction, turn right, and shortly afterwards turn left at the second T-junction. Continue towards Visoke to the next T-junction, turn right and follow the main road to the village of Kokra. Just before the road crosses the Kokra River for the second time in this village, the road to Suhadolnik will branch off to the right, where you turn. Continue along the road to a large parking area, where you park.

Continue on foot along the road you came from. It leads us on towards the Suhadolnik farm. Before the farm, turn right at the fork. The macadam track starts to climb moderately, and we stay on it until the forest path to the left branches off, just before a short concrete bridge, which is not very visible. We join the forest track, which leads up to a small "clearing" in the middle of the forest, except that the terrain here is rocky rather than grassy. Cross the "clearing" and then head back into the forest, where the path soon leads to a fork. Take the right path (the Old Path), which soon starts to climb a little steeper through the forest. After a longer climb, the path leads out of the forest and becomes rocky. The more difficult part of the climb over the rocks follows, where you have to help yourself a few times with your hands. After the rocky part, there is a slightly steeper climb up a path through the forest, with beautiful views of the surrounding high mountains. After a longer climb, we join another path to Grintovec - via Taška. A short climb follows, and then the path lays down and leads us to a meadow. Cross the meadow and at the fork at the end of the meadow continue straight towards Cojz's hut. The path starts to climb steeply again and after a longer climb leads us to Cojzova huts on Kokrski sedlo. Continue your journey to the left, following the signpost for Grintovec. At first, the path climbs moderately over grassy and rocky terrain, but as it climbs it becomes steeper and less grassy. In the last part of the climb, it is just a climb on rocky terrain and you will reach the top.
