From Zidanega Most, we head free for Hrastnik. We take the narrow road along the Sava River and then the railway line. When you reach a crossroads in Hrastnik, continue towards Trbovlje and Ljubljana. Cross the bridge and at the end turn left (Podkraj) into the parking lot next to the blocks of flats, where you park.

From the car park, follow the road back past the garages to the beginning of the forest. Then continue in the direction of Kuma (the path across Matca), where you will be directed by a footpath. After a short climb, the path leads to a couple of small houses. We continue along the footpath towards Kuma. Soon we arrive at a clearing from where we have a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. Then the steep path leads through the forest again. After about 1 hour of walking, we come out of the forest into the village. We pass by houses and soon the path leads us to the left to a meadow. Walk through the forest again and you will come to an asphalted road. Turn left here towards Kuma. Continue along the road and follow the signs which direct you right into the forest. When you come out of the forest, walk along the road and follow the signs that lead you past the farm. The forest thins out a little and soon you reach the road leading to Kum. Follow the road and after about half an hour you will reach the top of Kum, where there is a mountain lodge and a church.
