Planica is an 824-meter-high peak that rises above Škofja Loka. The Church of St. Gabriel stands at the summit. The peak is partially covered with forest, but from one side it offers a beautiful view of the rest of the Škofja Loka and Cerkno hills as well as the distant high mountains.
