Krvavec is a 1,853-meter-high mountain in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Krvavec is best known for the ski resort and recreational tourist center of the same name. In winter, you can go skiing—both backcountry and on groomed trails—go sledding, snowshoeing, have fun in the snow park, rent snow tubes, and enjoy many other fun sports activities. Krvavec is considered the best ski resort in Slovenia. It is accessible by chairlift. The ski resort stretches from an elevation of 1,450 to 1,971 meters, and the total length of all groomed runs is 26 kilometers. In addition to the ski resort, Krvavec Mountain is also popular with hikers, as there are several pleasant hiking trails leading up to it. A hike to Krvavec is suitable for both novice hikers and those with a bit more experience, as there is a slightly more challenging trail to suit their preferences. From the expansive summit, a beautiful view opens up toward the Kamnik-Savinja Alps and the Gorenjska region. Krvavec can be spotted and recognized from a distance, as it is home to a 100-meter-tall RTV Slovenia transmitter. Surrounding hills: Vrh Korena, Turna.
