Jelenk is a 1,107-meter-high peak that rises above the Idrijca River valley. The peak got its name from the deer, which are abundant in this area. It is a peak that is very well known among local residents, and several well-known figures have already climbed it. The peak is surrounded by forest, so there is no view from the summit itself; however, a view opens up from a lookout point located 10 minutes away.
