Ajdna is a 1,046-meter-high peak that rises above Žirovnica, more specifically on the slope of Stol. The peak is best known for its archaeological site, which provides evidence of settlement here between the 3rd and 2nd millennia B.C. Numerous trails lead to the summit, including some more challenging ones that require a bit more mountaineering experience. At the summit, you’ll also find a sign-in box, and from there, a beautiful view opens up toward the high peaks of the Julian Alps and the Karawanks.
