From Postojna, follow the motorway towards the sea. Take the exit for Divača and Lipica, where you leave the motorway. At the roundabout after the exit, take the third exit and drive to a larger junction where you turn left, enter the roundabout and take the third exit again. From here, drive to the village of Lokev, where you can park in the parking lot next to the church.

On foot, follow the dirt road leading away from the church. You will soon reach a crossroads, where you can take the right-hand path, which is also signposted to Kokoš. You will follow a longer walk on flat ground until you reach the gate to the pasture, where the signpost for Kokoš is 1h. Shortly after this, the road will turn left and split shortly afterwards. Keep to the right-hand road, which becomes narrower and narrower and eventually becomes a narrow lane which climbs steeply. At the first fork, keep left, but you will see more forks as you go on - the wider, better-beaten path is the marked one, and it is best to stick to this one, but others will lead you to the same destination. After walking for some time you will reach a macadam road, which you join and climb to the top, which is on the opposite side of the road from the mountain lodge at Kokoša.
