Drive to Tolmin and at the main semaphore crossroads turn in the direction of Zatolmin (right if coming from Ljubljana, or left if coming from Nova Gorica). In Zatolmin, keep on the main road, but only until the fork where the road to the right leads to Tolminski kority. Before this fork, you will see a restaurant on the right hand side of the road and a car park on the left. Park here.
Trail description:On foot, first continue along the asphalt road, but not on the right, which leads to Tolminski kority, but straight along the ascending road (past the cheese farm). Follow the road to the fork marked with a sign, which leads to Vodil vrh on the left. Here we turn right up a very steep incline. From here we continue along the concrete road for some time until we reach the chapel at Selce. From Selce we continue along the same concrete road. The road becomes macadam higher up and, after a long walk, leads us out of the woods and onto grassy areas where there are a few mountain houses. We still continue along the road and back into the forest, where we soon come to a fork, where we continue straight on to the Pretovč mountain. From here it is a 45-minute walk to Mount Sleme. First there is a steeper climb until the next crossroads, where we keep left towards Slemen. The road soon becomes flat and we continue at this pace along the track to the finish.
