From Tolmin, head towards Kobarid. In Kobarid, continue along the main road, past Petrol and past the right turn towards the Planika dairy, to a major T-junction, where you turn left and follow the road to the first possible turn off to the right. Continue along the street for just a few dozen metres, when you will see a large parking lot on your left, where you park.

From the car park, follow the road from where you came. When you join the wider road, turn right, then cross the main road at the end of the road, at the fork again. Here you will see a signpost for the Gams Circular Route. At the end of the street, turn right and continue to the end of the road, then cross a small bridge to the left, after which you will join a grassy track. Walk along this to another bridge, cross it again and turn left. Follow the track all the way to the road. At the road turn left and walk along the road to the houses. Turn right into the street and walk to the end of the houses. There, a path will branch off to the right, leading into the woods, which you will join. You will cross another bridge and come to another crossroads. Keep right and climb into the woods. Here you will follow a path along a stream, taking in many natural sights as you go. After walking for a while, you will climb some steps and soon reach a crossroads. Here you cross a wider path and follow the track which leads you out of the forest and into a small meadow. You will be able to cross a stream right at the start, then turn right. Soon the grassy path will lead back into the forest and to a waterfall. From here it is downhill along the path out of the forest and then across the meadow to the main road. Take the right fork and continue to the fork of the track to the left, where you came from. From here, it's back to the car.
