From Nova Gorica, head towards Tolmin. In the village of Ročinj, turn left towards Kambreškem. Continue to the above-mentioned village, where you turn right towards Livek. Follow the road until you reach the Mountain Home under Ježo, which is just off the road.
Trail description:Find the path across the road, on a small grassy stretch that leads immediately into the forest. The path immediately begins to climb steeply and continues in this manner all the way to the top of Ježa. There will be only one fork on the way to Ježa, where you keep straight on. From the top of Ježa, head forwards towards Solarium and the top of Na grad. The path soon starts to descend and continues descending until it joins the track. Join the track, which leads in a few steps to a major road junction. Take the road to the left, which leads to an asphalt road. Walk along the road for a few metres and then rejoin the forest track on the right-hand side of the road. The path climbs steeply, and in some parts it is even a bit more precipitous, and there are stiles for protection. After a short climb, the path leads to an asphalt road, where there is also a crossroads. To continue, turn diagonally right across the road, where you will also find a direction sign. The signpost leads into the forest again and starts to climb. After a short time, the road is rejoined, but only for a short time, as it soon leads left back into the forest. There is an easier climb to a rocky crossroads where you can choose both paths, as they soon merge into one. Continue along the path out of the forest and onto the meadow, which leads to the top of Na Grad. Then descend from the top on the other side until the terrain is level. From here, continue on the other side of the meadow. The path begins to climb steeply. As we climb, the view of the summit of Na Grad, from which we descended, will be at our backs the whole time. After the climb, there is some walking on the flat ridge of Kolovrat. In the meantime, we will cross an intermediate signpost for Trinški vrh, but we must continue walking until we reach the next wooden pole, which is our destination. From the top, we will have an exceptional view of the entire slope of the Kolovrat, as well as of the neighbouring peaks of the Julian Mountains and the sea.
