From Tolmin, drive towards Kobarid and in the town centre head towards the Robič border crossing. Continue straight on the road until you reach a roundabout where you turn out at the second exit towards Stary Sel and Breginj. From here, continue straight on the road for a longer distance, which will lead you to Breginj. Park in the large car park opposite the church.

Walk from the car park to the road opposite the car park and initially continue walking along the asphalted road, past the Grad bar. Soon the road becomes gravel and you will see many direction signs along the way. Continue along the road, into the woods, and walk along the stream for a while, passing a mill. When you come to another crossroads, take the road to the right, which crosses a bridge. After a short distance, a forest track will branch off to the left, where you will turn left. There is a long climb through the forest, alternating between uphill and downhill sections. When the path becomes a bit more level, you will come to another fork, where you keep left and start descending. After crossing a small meadow, you will come to another crossroads where you turn right. Continue descending to a dirt road, which you will follow for a longer distance, until the road starts to narrow and you can see the ruins of an old house in the distance. Turn right uphill here. Continue towards Nizke Top on the ascending track. After a long walk, the path leads out of the forest and into meadows. Continue ascending to the saddle. Turn right here and continue along the ridge with ups and downs to the Bivouac pod Muzcem.
