From Crete, drive toward the small island of Kalydon, which is right next to Crete. Drive across the bridge onto the island, then continue along the gravel road all the way to the farm, where the road ends.
Trail description:Set out on foot along the hiking trail, which initially runs right along the sea and is very well marked. The trail soon climbs past a small church and then continues uphill. A longer walk follows, all the way to the stone stables, where the trail forks. From here on, do not follow the signs; instead, turn left and you’ll find the path continues on the right side of the stables. From here on, the trail is marked only by stone cairns. From here, the trail first descends, then levels off for a few moments, and then begins to climb again. The trail is less visible in some sections; it’s best to follow the track. After the climb ends, you’ll pass another stone house, and after a few minutes’ walk, you’ll reach your destination.
