From Novo Mesto, we continue driving toward Dolenjske Toplice. In Podturn, we take the road to Črnomelj (left). We drive through the villages of Občice and Stare Žage, then arrive in Črmošnjice. Past Črmošnjice, we reach the village of Vrčice, where we park in the gravel parking lot near the restaurant.
Trail description:From the parking lot, head toward Mirna Gora. In front of the church, join the paved road and continue to the right. The road leads into the forest and begins to climb. When the asphalt gives way to gravel, you’ll soon reach a fork in the road, where you’ll continue to the right. A longer walk follows, after which you’ll reach Planina. From Planina, a signpost for the educational trail toward Mirna Gora directs you uphill along a cart track. You’ll pass by some houses and turn right into the forest toward Mirna Gora. A climb along a forest trail follows, during which you’ll be able to observe a cave, various trees, a wildlife feeding station, different plants, and more. Shortly after the feeding station and a musical instrument, the trail crosses a gravel road. When you reach the road for the second time, join it and continue along it to the mountain hut on Mirna Gora.
