From Tolmin, head toward Bovec. Shortly after crossing the bridge over the Soča River, you’ll reach a roundabout; take the second exit. Continue through the village of Volče and look for the sign for the Solarij Pass, which directs you to the right onto an ascending road. Follow this road for quite some time until you reach Solarij, where the road forks. Continue along the paved road on the left, which will soon lead you to a fork. Do not turn right toward Italy, but rather left toward Kambreško. We continue along the road for another minute or so, keeping an eye out for the first possible left turn, which we’ll recognize by the directional signs. Here we turn left and park in the parking lot.
Trail description:We find the hiking trail on the left side of the parking lot, where a sign pointing toward Ježa also directs us. At first, we walk along a gravel road, and then a sign directs us to the right into the forest, where we turn. A steep ascent through the forest follows, which levels off just a few minutes before reaching the summit.
