From Nova Gorica, head toward Tolmin. In the village of Ročinj, turn left toward Kambreško. Continue to that village, where you’ll turn right toward the village of Livek. From there, follow the road all the way to the Planinski dom pod Ježo mountain hut, which is located right next to the road.

We head back on foot along the road we came on. We walk all the way to an unmarked turnoff onto a narrow forest path to the right, which we take. A moderate climb through the forest follows. When the trail levels out, we reach a fork, where we continue straight ahead toward Očna. We continue along the narrow path until we reach another fork. Again, we take the right path and follow it for a few more minutes, after which it joins a wider dirt road, which we take. Turn left and follow the cart track to a larger fork. Here, a sign for the 9th Konfin directs you to the right onto an ascending trail, which takes you to the summit in a few minutes.
