From Nova Gorica, head toward Tolmin. In the village of Ročinj, turn left toward Kambreško. Continue to that village, where you’ll turn right toward the village of Livek. From there, follow the road all the way to the Planinski Dom pod Ježo mountain hut, which is located right next to the road.

We head back on foot along the road we came on. We walk all the way to an unmarked turnoff onto a narrow forest path to the right, which we take. A moderate climb through the forest follows. When the trail levels out, we reach a fork, where we continue straight ahead toward Očna. We continue along the narrow trail until we reach another fork. Again, take the right path and follow it for a few more minutes; it will then join a wider dirt road, which you’ll take. Turn right and continue along the path, which soon forks. Take the left path and continue to another, slightly larger, fork. Here, turn left toward the 9th boundary marker. Climb about 10 meters, then turn left again onto a narrow trail, which will take you to the summit in a few minutes.
