From Tolmin, drive towards Kobarid and/or Nova Gorica. You will cross the bridge over the Soča River, arrive at a roundabout, where you take the first exit (for Kobarid). Then follow the road for a few hundred metres until you see a sign for Solarium and the Kolovrat mountains (turn left). When the road leads you to the village of Volče, turn right at the first fork. The road becomes winding shortly after the turn. Stay on this road, which straightens out after a few sharp bends. There is only one more fork in the road, at which you turn right. Continue driving until you see an information house and two mountain signs ahead. Park here and continue on foot.
Trail description:Continue to the right of the signs, along a pleasant grassy track that soon starts to climb. As we climb, we will be constantly accompanied by the view of the neighbouring Kolovrata Na grad hill behind us. After the climb, there is some walking on the flat ridge of Kolovrat. In the meantime, we will cross the intermediate signpost for Trinški vrh, and we will continue walking. The trail to Nagnoje will descend steeply towards the asphalted road and then climb steeply again shortly. At the top, you can sign in at the sign-in box, which is placed next to the sign with the name of the peak and the signpost that leads you to the highest peak of Kolovrat - Kuku.
