Drive to Kamnik and follow the signs for Kamniška Bistrica or Velika Planina. You’ll arrive at the village of Stahovica, where you’ll turn left, as indicated by the sign for Velika Planina. About 100 meters further on, turn right onto a road that begins to climb very steeply. You’ll arrive at a building with plenty of parking spaces available.
Trail description:The road is a gravel road and begins to climb gradually. We walk along this wide road for quite some time until we reach the first fork, where we keep to the right. We come to a farm, where we turn onto a narrower stone path. We climb quite quickly and rejoin the main gravel road, but not for long, as a few meters further on, a beautiful forest path branches off to the right (we can also continue along the gravel road). We follow the well-marked trail all the way to the summit.
