From the highway, take the Kranj East exit and then follow the road toward Jezersko. In Zgornje Jezersko, just past the gas station, you’ll see a road branching off to the right from the main road (toward Planšarsko Lake). The road then takes you past Planšarsko Lake. Soon you’ll reach a large meadow where a gravel road begins; follow it to the marked parking lot.
Trail description:From the parking lot, continue along the gravel road, where you’ll see signs for Češka koča and Ledine. Follow the wide trail, which after a few minutes leads to a fork: (right) Češka koča, (left) Kranjska koča na Ledinah. We continue to the right into the forest. The trail, which is steep at first, leads us through the forest to Andrej’s Bench. The trail then continues through the forest and soon turns left, heading uphill. After about 10 minutes of walking, another trail joins from the right. Continue left, and a beautiful view soon opens up. You’ll soon reach steel cables and a large ladder. This section is the most dangerous part of the trail (Hudičevi kvanci). After crossing the ladder, there’s another 10-minute climb that takes us to the Češka Hut in Spodnje Ravne.
