From Tolmin, head toward Nova Gorica. Shortly after the “End of Tolmin” sign, you’ll cross a large bridge over the Soča River; immediately after the bridge, a narrow road branches off to the left—take that road. Continue along the road for a few dozen meters until you see the Labrca restaurant on your right. Park in the parking lot on the left side of the road; however, since the parking lot is reserved for restaurant guests and visitors to the Maya sports tourism facility, look for a suitable parking spot a little further down the road.

We continue on foot along the road, which will soon lead us to a fork just before the landfill. We turn left and join a gravel road, which we follow until it enters the forest. Here, a narrow forest trail branches off to the right, and we turn onto it. A short, steep climb follows, after which the terrain levels out and leads along the edge of a meadow toward a nearby house. Here, we join the paved road for a few meters, then climb back up onto the trail on our left. The trail turns into the woods and begins to climb moderately. A longer climb follows, after which we’ll reach a fork in the trail, which we’ll recognize by a signpost pointing toward the memorial. Here, turn right and continue along the wider path, which levels off after a short walk, continues flat for a few minutes, and then even descends for a few dozen meters. After the descent, the trail continues across level ground, leading us after a short while to a trail junction just below the church located at the summit. You can choose either trail—both lead to the summit. We chose the left trail, which climbs steeply to the summit in a few minutes.
