If we’re driving from Most na Soči toward Tolmin, we follow the main road all the way to the fork, where the left road leads to Tolmin and the right one to Poljubin. Here, turn toward Tolmin, and after just a few hundred meters, turn right, following the sign for Žabče. Continue along the road, keeping to the right at the fork toward Zadlaz. This is followed by a drive along a narrow road through a compact village. Once you’ve passed through the village, there are a few hundred more meters of driving along a flat road flanked by pastures on both sides. When the pastures end and the forest gradually begins, you’ll notice a weekend cottage with a large garden on the right—turn right here and park along the road.
Trail description:From the parking lot, we continue along the cart track, which soon turns into a narrow forest path that begins to wind its way up a moderate incline. After a few minutes of walking, the trail joins the cart track, which quickly leads us to a fork where a narrow trail branches off to the left; we stay on the cart track, following the sign for the Razor Mountain Hut. This cart track also soon turns into a narrow trail that winds its way uphill for quite some time. During the ascent, we cross a small stream flowing alongside the path several times. The ascent ends at another fork, where we turn left and even descend a few meters along the path. This is followed by a few minutes’ walk on mostly flat terrain; the final ascent awaits us only in the last section of the trail, after which we climb to the summit in a few minutes.
