From Ljubljana, take the motorway to Kranj. Leave the motorway at the Sp. Brnik exit. Drive towards Šenčur (exit Moste/Letališče Brnik) at the roundabout. Continue along Pipanova cesta, and when you reach Visoko turn right at the crossroads towards Šenčur. Pass through the villages of Hotemaže, Tupaliče, Kokra and Spodnje Jezersko. When you arrive in Zgornje Jezersko, you can park on the gravel parking lot near Petrol.

From the car park, continue along the road through the village of Zgornje Jezersko. It takes about 30 minutes to climb up the main road. Then turn right at the sign (Gostišče pri Planšarskem jezero) over the bridge. In about 5 minutes you will reach the house at Planšar Lake.

The lake is ice-covered in winter, so ice-skating is possible.
