From the Ljubljana Koper motorway, take the Divača, Lipica exit. Continue towards Divača and Lipica at the roundabout. Then, at the junction, turn right towards Ilirska Bistrica and Pivka. Pass through the villages of Dolnje Ležeče, Gradišče pri Divača and Goriče pri Famlje. When you arrive in Famlje, park somewhere on the roadside.

From the starting point, continue along the main road through Famlje, and then the signs for Vremščica direct you left onto the macadam road. When you get to the orchard, the signs direct you to the right, then continue along the path through the forest, where you start to climb slowly. As you walk along, you see a power line on your right. After crossing the power line, you will soon turn sharp left uphill (signposted). When you reach the top of the hill, continue right. Walk near the railway line. Walk along the railway line for a few minutes and then cross it at a marked crossroads. Start climbing up the grassy slope. Soon you will reach the path and follow the signs to the asphalted road. The signs then direct you to the right and you walk along the road for about 25 minutes. Here the signs send us left towards Vremščice. Continue along the marked forest path. Higher up, the forest thins out and we reach a clearing below Vremščica. Continue straight ahead and after about half an hour you will reach the top of Vremščice.
