From Postojna we head towards Pivka. We pass the villages of Rakitnik, Matenja vas, Reška cesta, Selce and Petelinje. At the roundabout take the third exit, direction Rijeka/Rijeka, Ilirska Bistrica. Then turn right at the junction in the direction Rijeka/Rijeka, Ilirska Bistrica. Go through the village of Pivka and when you come out of the village, you will see a large parking lot on the right hand side, where you park.

From the car park, cross the main road where you will see signs for Primož and Šilentabor. The road first climbs through the forest and then leads to a larger meadow. Continue in the direction of the fortifications. Soon the road starts to climb through the forest again. We continue along the path and come to a crossroads where the path from Šilentabor joins us on the right, and we continue to the left in the direction of Primož. Walk for a few minutes and you will reach the Italian fortifications at Primož. Continue left uphill, then follow the signs to the top of Primož. There is a stamp at the top.
