From Novo mesto, drive towards Dolenjske Toplice and continue towards Žužemberk. When you reach the settlement of Dvor, continue driving to the left in the direction of Kočevje. After crossing the Krka River, you will soon arrive in the village of Jama, where signs point you left in the direction of Podgozda. Follow the road signposted to Sveti Peter and you will soon come to a small parking area at the foot of the hill.
Trail description:From the starting point, continue along the marked trail in the direction of St Peter's. First walk along a wide track, then soon turn left onto a path that continues along the forest. Soon you will enter the woods and there is the first station of the Stations of the Cross. Follow the path through the forest for a while and then you will come to a track. Follow the signs and cross a dirt road. The whole path is well signposted and there are Stations of the Cross along the way. Cross the dirt road once more and then the path starts to climb steeply. Soon you will see a fence on your right, and you will climb up to the top of St Peter's. There is a lookout tower and a shelter at the top.
