From Celje, we head towards Šentjur. Then follow the signs for Šmarje pri Jelšah. The road then takes you through the village of Podplat. Here, turn left at the semaphore-controlled junction at Petrol. Then drive through Krtince, Topolovec, Pečica and Lovnik. Continue all the way to Zgornje Poljčane, where you park at the Poljčane Cemetery.
Trail description:From the car park, head back the way you came all the way to the mountain signs along the main road. Continue left up to where the mountain sign directs you (Boč - over Babe). The path first passes through the forest and starts to climb quite a bit. Soon you reach a wider track. The markings direct us up to the left. The path starts to climb again and we reach the road. It is about a five-minute walk to the mountain lodge below Boč. Continue past the house in the direction of Boč. On the left you can see the top of Boč and the lookout tower. Soon we reach a crossroads where we have two options, both of which lead us to the top. The right-hand path soon starts to climb steeply. After about forty minutes of walking through the forest, we are at the top, where the lookout tower is located.
