From Ljubljana, we drive towards Kočevje. When you reach Dolenja vas, turn right at the turn-off for Grčarice, Gotenica and the Kočevje River. Pass Jelendol and Grčarice. Just before the start of Gotenica village, there is a parking area on the right with signs for Gotenica Snežnik. Park there.
Trail description:From the car park, follow the signs to the edge of the forest. Soon the path begins to climb. After a short climb, you reach a crossroads, where you continue to the left (signposted). The ascent continues along a wide track. Soon the path becomes narrower and climbs steeply through the forest. Then it gently slopes down and on the right side you see the slopes of the Stone Wall. Here the path is narrow and the possibility of slipping is greater due to the greater amount of foliage. Then the ascent is again followed by a climb, which leads to the sign for the Stone Wall (the viewpoint is on the right, about 5 minutes away). We then continue left in the direction of Goteniškje Snežnik. The path first climbs and then starts to descend to a forest road. When you reach the forest road, turn left. Walk along the road for about thirty minutes and then signs point you to the right in the direction of Goteniškje Snežnik. The signs then lead you to the summit, which you reach after about 20 minutes of walking.
Additional tips:Potential for slipping due to large amounts of foliage.
