Getting to the trailhead:

From the Gorenjska direction, take the motorway towards Ljubljana and after the Šentviškis tunnel turn towards Lj. Podutik / Lj. Koseze. Just after the exit, turn right onto the Podutiška road and drive straight towards the village of Šuljica. In the village, at a major fork, turn right towards Polhovo Gradec. Then follow the main road past Gabr, Hrstenice, Log pri Polhovem Gradcu and Belice. After these settlements you will reach Dvor, where you will soon see a large parking area on the left side of the road.

Trail description:

Continue on foot along the road, but only as far as a small fountain, which you will see on the right side of the road, and behind it a small signpost on a tree, which will direct you towards Kuclju. Just after the signpost, the road begins to climb moderately, and we follow it only to the bend where a forest track branches off to the right, onto which we turn. There is a longer climb up a steep forest path, which is joined by other paths to Kucelj several times in between. When the path flattens out, the forest is replaced by a larger meadow, where after about 50 metres a less visible path branches off to the left, leading us back into the forest. In the forest we start climbing again and after about 5 minutes we will reach the top of Kucelj, which is surrounded by forest, so we continue the path for a few hundred metres further, to a lookout point, which we will recognise by a wooden bench.
