Getting to the trailhead:

From Ljubljana, take the regional road towards Kranj. We pass Medne and Medvode, all the way to Kranj. Once in Kranj, continue along the main road, passing Petrol on your left, until you reach a semaphorised crossroads, where you turn left towards Stražišče and Šmarjetna gora. Continue driving to the roundabout and take the second exit. Continue to a larger un-semaporised crossroads, where a signpost directs you to the right towards Sv. Jošto nad Kranjem. Continue along the main road until you reach a small junction where two side roads branch off from the main road. Take the middle, narrowest road, where you will again be directed by the signpost for Sv. Jošt nad Kranjem. Continue on the road leading to the village of Pševo. On the road on your left, you will see the memorial to the fallen fighters in front of the settlement, where you park.

Trail description:

Walk back down the road from where you came, about 100 m down, when you will see a track on your left. Continue along the gentle track until you reach a fork, where you turn left onto a narrow track which leads you across a small meadow into the woods. From here, you join a number of paths which provide numerous starting points to the summit, and immediately start climbing steeply. After a few minutes, the steep ascent through the forest is interrupted by a meadow where the path comes to rest, and from here we are treated to the first good views. Soon the path turns back into the forest and starts climbing again. About halfway along the path, you will come to a large crossroads, which you will recognise by a bench and a birdhouse. Here, keep to the left path, which is also signposted. A narrow path soon leads to another crossroads, where you again take the left path, following the steps. From here on, the path climbs steeply on wooden steps and roots. Just before the end, the steps are replaced by a steep path which soon leads to the top.
