From Ljubljana, take the highway toward the Gorenjska region. Exit the highway at the Brezje exit, and immediately after that, turn left at the fork. Drive through Črnivec and, at the first traffic-light-controlled intersection, turn right toward Begunje na Gorenjskem. Continue along the main road to the village of Zapuže, where you’ll turn right at the intersection (follow the signs for Begunje). From there, continue through Begunje all the way to Gostišče Draga, which is located along the road. Park here in the large parking lot.
Trail description:We continue on foot along the road, which turns into a gravel road after the inn. Past the large apiary by the road—which we’ll see shortly after starting our walk—we turn left at the fork, after which the gravel road begins to climb. We continue along the road for quite some time; about 10 minutes after crossing a small bridge, a trail marker and a sign reading “Roblek” will direct us left onto a forest trail. The trail begins to climb steeply right away, crossing the gravel road several times along the way, then emerges from the forest and leads us up a grassy slope to the Planinca mountain pasture. From here, continue along the gravel road to the next mountain pasture (Poljške planine), which is just a few minutes away. We find the path ahead on the other side of the hut standing on the mountain pasture; specifically, just past a small hayrack with a sign bearing the pasture’s name, the signposts direct us to the right, along the widest road into the forest. We cross the gate and enter the forest onto a steeply ascending road that winds several times during the climb. Along the way, we’re constantly accompanied by stacks of firewood, inviting hikers to carry them to the Roblek Hut, which is located along the route. Just before reaching Roblek Hut, we come to a fork in the trail, where we take the left path, which leads us to Roblek in about 10 minutes.
