From Ljubljana, follow the motorway towards Gorenjska. Leave the motorway at the exit for Brezje, and immediately afterwards turn left at the fork. Go through Črnivec and turn right at the first traffic lights towards Begunje in Gorenjska. Continue along the main road to Zapuže, where you turn right at the crossroads (keep following the signs for Begunje). From here, continue through Begunje until you reach Gostišče Draga, which is located on the side of the road. Park here in a large car park.

Continue on foot along the road, which becomes macadam from the guesthouse onwards. Turn left at the crossroads after the larger beehive by the roadside, which you will see shortly after the start of the walk, and the dirt road begins to climb. Continue along the road for some time, and in about 10 minutes, after crossing a small bridge, a sign and the Roblek sign will direct you left onto a forest track. The path immediately starts to climb steeply, crosses the macadam road a few times in between, and then passes out of the forest and leads us up the grassy slope to Planinca mountain. From here, continue along the dirt road to the next mountain (Poljška planina), which is located just a few minutes away. We find the way forward on the other side of the hut, which stands on the mountain; just after a small trestle, on which a sign with the name of the mountain is pinned, signposts direct us along the right-hand, widest road into the forest. Cross the stile and head into the forest on a steeply ascending road which turns several times during the ascent. Along the way, we are constantly accompanied by firewood, which invites hikers to take it to Roblek's home, which is located on the path. Almost at Roblek's home, we reach a crossroads where we keep to the left path, which leads us to Roblek in about 10 minutes. Continue past the Dom na Robleku on a narrow path which immediately starts to climb steeply past the heath. Soon we will be treated to magnificent views that will accompany us to the top. The steeply ascending path lays down at the top of the ridge and leads us around an intermediate peak to the Big Peak on Begunjščićica, with a steep climb just before the summit.
