From Tolmin, head towards Bovec. Shortly after the bridge crossing the Soča River, you will come to a roundabout where you take the second exit. Continue through the village of Volče and look out for the signpost for the Solari Pass, which points to the right onto the ascending road. Continue along this road for a considerable distance until you reach Solari, where there is a fork in the road. Turn left here and park in the large car park.
Trail description:From the car park, turn right towards the fork in the road and at the signpost pointing towards Tolmin, Kobarid, Livek and Kolovrat, turn onto a fairly overgrown forest track. The path leads through the forest for about 10 minutes, then switches back to the road, which ascends for a few hundred metres until you reach a signpost to the left, which directs you back into the forest. Continue through the forest to a large fork, where you can choose either the left or the right path, both of which will soon lead you to your grass-covered destination.
