If you are coming from Ljubljana on the motorway, take the exit for Kamnik. Just after the exit, turn right and drive straight along the road for a long time, all the way to the village of Podgorje, where at the roundabout take the second exit towards Kamnik - centre. From here, continue straight on for a longer distance to Kamnik, where you turn left at the crossroads, and immediately afterwards turn right. Cross a small bridge, then turn left again. Continue along the road to the village of Soteska, where you will come to another fork and turn left. From here on, it's just a climb up a winding road and you'll reach the Črnivec guesthouse on the Črnivec Pass. There is a larger car park where we park.
Trail description:Continue on foot along the asphalted road past the guest house, which turns left just after the guest house. There will be signs all along the way, and most of the signs will be for Menino planina, which you should follow. Soon the road turns to macadam, and we continue along it until the first fork, at which we keep to the left path, which leads towards the Toman farm. At the next fork, keep to the right path, which soon leads into the forest. From here on, there is a longer climb along the macadam road until the next crossroads, where you continue straight ahead. The road soon lays down after this and leaves the forest a little. At the fork again, turn right and immediately afterwards left, passing a small chapel with a register. There is a short cut through a dense forest with some fallen spruce trees. Soon the path becomes more passable again and briefly climbs a bit more. When the path becomes level again, there is a short walk to a small clearing. Continue straight ahead through the clearing to a thick tree with a huge marker. From here on, the path turns slightly to the left and crosses a hilly meadow. The path leads us into the forest again, and after just a few minutes it turns out of the forest again and leads us to Ravni mountain, where the hut stands.
